Training consists of specialized football practices both indoor and outdoor. Training sessions are designed to help students develop as individuals and as a team. Training provides students with a variety of learning opportunities including technical, tactical, physical and psychological training.

All training is held at St John's Regional College. Training can take place on the synthetic pitch, in the gymnasium, in the weights room or in the theatre or classroom.

Football is an all-weather sport and when it rains training will continue. Training will only be cancelled if there is severe weather that risks the safety and wellbeing of participants. In these cases training is likely to move indoors or cancelled.

School holiday training will be offered to all participants in the St John's Football Program and further information will be provided to all parents.

Additional Private lessons are available for students who are interested and can contact the Director of Football Ljuban Palinic Lpalinic@sjrc.vic.edu.au

All students will be required to bring their football training uniform to school.

Children are welcome to join the program at any time.

The main difference between the Part time Academy and the additional opt in sessions is the number of contacts and training sessions your child is involved in with our coaches. The part time program offers 6 sessions per fortnight whereas the opt in session offers an additional double period and gym session per week.

The program will offer friendly games on occasions + tournaments that are available and approved by the school. All St John's Academy students will be encouraged to join a club program after hours. The current program is in Partnership with NPL club Dandenong City SC.
