As we begin a new college year, we warmly welcome every member of our community, especially our Year 7 students and all those who are new to St John’s Regional College, both students and staff.
We hope that you quickly come to experience a strong sense of belonging, purpose and hope within our College. To those who are continuing their journey with us, we extend a very warm welcome back.
Guided by our 2026 College theme, Justice for All, we are reminded that faith calls us to action: to uphold the dignity of every person, to include those on the margins, and to treat one another with fairness, compassion and mercy. As a faith community, may we continue to grow together in learning and service, striving each day to ensure that justice is lived, kindness is practised, and every person is valued.
This year also marks an important milestone for our elected Year 12 College Leaders. We congratulate them on the trust placed in them and encourage them to serve our community with integrity, compassion and courage.
The faith and mission life of St John’s Regional College remains a central priority, with many opportunities throughout the year to celebrate and deepen our shared faith. The Year 7 Welcome Mass provided a meaningful way to commence the year sacramentally, reminding us that God is the source of all that is good, true and beautiful. As the term unfolds, we look forward to marking Ash Wednesday, journeying together through Lent, and participating in the Year 12 Retreat. Through daily prayer and our Religious Education program, we seek to nurture students in both mind and spirit, enabling them to become the people God calls them to be.
The ministry of faith formation and the development of religious and critical thinking is enthusiastically supported by the Catholic Mission and Identity Team, our Religious Education teachers, and the College’s dedicated staff.
Introducing the Catholic Mission and Identity Team:
Director of Faith and Mission: Ria Greene, AFSC
I am delighted to be returning to St John’s Regional College in the role of Director of Faith and Mission, and Learning Area for Religious Education. After eleven years at St Bede’s College in faith leadership, it is a privilege to return to this community with a renewed sense of purpose, gratitude, and enthusiasm for service and learning. I look forward to working alongside students, families, and staff to nurture the College’s faith life, deepen our shared commitment to Gospel values, and continue building a community grounded in hope, justice, and compassion.
As an Old Collegian of St John’s Regional College it is a joy to be on familiar ground that is imbued with the Lasallian and Presentation charisms. May we live Jesus in our hearts, forever!
Social Justice Coordinator: Dona Simon
My name is Dona Simon, and I am the Social Justice Coordinator at St John’s Regional College, Dandenong.
At the heart of our College community is a deep commitment to social justice that extends beyond awareness and understanding into Christ-centred action.
We hope that you quickly come to experience a strong sense of belonging, purpose and hope within our College. To those who are continuing their journey with us, we extend a very warm welcome back.
