College Cafe
St John’s Regional College offers Year 9 students a new opportunity to reach their full potential and have the knowledge and skills they require to be successful in the ever-changing work environment. The College Cafe will place an emphasis on students making connections between their learning and the real world.
The College Cafe seeks to engage, challenge and prepare students for senior school and adult life. It has been introduced (as a response to the need) to accommodate the shifting requirements of the Year 9 Students. The program structure will see each Year 9 student experience the College Cafe program during the school year through which they will receive a Certificate of Food Handling.
Within the program, students will be able to learn how to use the various resources for food production, food handling, and customer service within the Graduates’ Restaurant, 5 Loaves Patisserie and the College Cafe.
