Our comprehensive Pastoral Care Program supports students through all stages of adolescence and school life. We work in partnership with families during the important years of secondary education, nurturing confident, resilient young people grounded in integrity and compassion.

Through the program, students:

  • Explore faith and identity
  • Build strong peer relationships
  • Strengthen emotional wellbeing
  • Engage with social justice and community initiatives
  • Reinforce positive behaviour and self-esteem

Pastoral care is delivered in close collaboration between House Leaders and Learning Mentors, who provide daily care and support within each homeroom. These key staff members monitor each student’s progress and wellbeing, ensuring a consistent point of contact and connection throughout their time at the College.

House Leaders oversee key areas of student development, including:

  • Delivery of targeted pastoral care initiatives
  • Promotion of respectful behaviour and restorative practices
  • Upholding uniform standards and expectations
  • Monitoring attendance and punctuality
  • Supporting academic growth and learning transitions
  • Coordinating subject selection, promotion and pathway planning
  • Leading House events and mentoring student leaders

House Leaders work closely with Learning Mentors, subject teachers and the Engagement Leaders across Years 7–9 and Years 10–12 to provide holistic care and create an environment where all students feel seen, supported and empowered to thrive.
