Child Safe Schools
At St John’s Regional College, the safety and wellbeing of every student is our highest priority. We are committed to creating and maintaining a child-safe environment where students feel safe, respected, and supported.
To support this commitment, the College has appointed the following staff members as Child Safety Officers. They are available to answer any questions about our Child Protection and Safety Policy and Child Protection Program.
What is Child Abuse?
‘Child abuse’ can take many forms, including:
- Sexual offences
- Grooming behaviour
- Physical violence
- Serious emotional or psychological harm
- Serious neglect
- Family violence, including exposure to it
If you are concerned that a child may be experiencing any form of abuse, please discuss with one of our Child Safety Officers immediately.
If a child is in immediate danger, contact the Police on 000.
Our Child Safety Officers
Child Safety Officers are your first point of contact for any child protection concerns within the College community.
