Faith based learning

St John’s Regional College is a faith community centred on Jesus Christ and enlivened by the charisms of the Venerable Nano Nagle and St John Baptist de La Salle. Our motto reminds us that we must constantly “reach for the stars” and in doing so be beacons of light for each other and our world.

Fullness
of Life

At St John’s we support the growth of each student to the ‘fullness of life’ which Jesus brings. This means that we nurture the whole person and encourage students to strive for excellence in all aspects of their humanity.

Testimonials

Our daughter Charlotte started year 7 at St John’s this year. We chose St John’s for our family after attending a tour and meeting Mr Hogan. The facilities are incredible and allow so many opportunities for students to explore their interests. Our daughter was particularly impressed with the culinary options as she loves to cook! The school community was inclusive and welcoming from our very first interaction and we felt comfortable with every person we met and their ability to guide our daughter in her education and faith.

Rhianna

We chose St John’s as it is a warm and welcoming College with a strong sense of community. The staff are proud of the school and they value and support the students individual journey. The academic and sporting facilities are fantastic as they offer great opportunities for all students.

Christie (class of 2001)

I would like to share the reason we chose St John for our son Gabriel who us currently in Year 8.
Our experience at St John’s has been nothing short of wonderful. What truly influenced our decision was the school’s commitment to nurturing the child – academically, socially, and spiritually.
We wanted a place where our child would not only receive a quality education but also feel valued, supported, and inspired to grow. “St John has been exactly that”

Vanessa

Choosing the right school is one of the most important decisions for any family.
I have chosen St John Regional College because school should feel like a second home ,a safe, supportive place where students feel valued, encouraged, and understood. When a school is built on strong Christian values, it not only focuses on academic growth but also nurtures character, kindness, and faith.

Abeer

We are truly grateful to St. John College for the invaluable support and guidance they have given our family over the years. The school played a significant role in shaping our son into the confident, capable young man he is today, helping bring out the best in him both academically and personally. Now, with our daughter currently studying at St. Johns, we continue to experience the school’s commitment to excellence, care and development.

Thank you for being a strong partner in our children’s education journey.

With our daughter still in school, we continue to appreciate the approachable leadership team , support staff and the dedicated teachers who make a real difference.

The Colvin’s have been involved with St John’s for a very long time. Not only were both my parents educated here, but so were many family members in my generation. Both my grandfather and father worked here, with my dad having taught here for over 40 years. The choice to move to St John’s to teach was an easy one because of the family connection, but it has been the students that have kept me here for so long.

Mr Paul Colvin, Pathways Leader

As a new member of the community, I was drawn to St John’s because of its welcoming and supportive environment. What keeps me here is the strong sense of community, the genuine kindness and respect shared among both staff and students, and the school’s strong Catholic identity, which I value and enjoy being part of.

Kiera Crupi, Teacher

Don’t stress about the workload or the older kids, just focus on staying organized and finding one good group of friends, and the rest will honestly just click and it will feel like last year.

At St. John’s, the atmosphere is a very inviting place, although every school should be inviting, St. John’s is on another level. All the teachers’ pay attention to their student’s wellbeing; I remember my second day of yr7 where I was suffering from my anxiety to the point that I went home from throwing up, the same day once I was home, Ms. Webb called my mum to ask if I was ok.The in my Yr9 Religion class with Mrs. Kydas, one of my friends was quieter one day and she waited until the end of the class when everyone had left to ask if she’s ok.
These teachers, among many, are what make the environment at St. John’s so incredibly inviting, they notice the small things and check in on their students which, in my opinion, like I mentioned, is what makes St. Johns’ atmosphere so vibrant, so inviting, and what differentiates this school from any other school.

One thing that has surprised me about Year 7 is how much responsibility we have to take with our education and our learning. I love how if your unsure about something your peers are always there to help and give you advice.
