Student Engagement
At St John’s Regional College, the wellbeing of every student is central to who we are. Guided by our belief that each person is made in the image of God, we strive to create a safe, inclusive and supportive environment for all students – spiritually, academically, socially and emotionally.
We view student engagement as a partnership between the College and families, with shared responsibility in nurturing confident, compassionate and capable young people.
Key components of our engagement and wellbeing program include:
- Pastoral Care
- House System
- Student Voice and Leadership
- Our Rights and Responsibilities
- Transition Program
- Counselling and Student Services
- Stella Awards for Student Achievement
We believe student wellbeing is grounded in the values of our Catholic faith, with relationships built on mutual respect, compassion and understanding.
We recognise that mistakes are a natural part of growth, and we are committed to a restorative approach that promotes healing, forgiveness and justice. Through open dialogue and reflection, we support our students in rebuilding trust, repairing relationships and moving forward with integrity.
At St John’s, student engagement is led by the Deputy Principal of Student Engagement Mr Van Es , supported by Leaders of Student Engagement for Years 7–9 Ms. Fraraccio and 10–12 Mr Adkin. This team works closely with staff, students, and families to promote wellbeing, positive behaviour, and strong connections to learning across all year levels.
