As part of our Graduate Pathways series, we invited members of last year’s graduating cohort to reflect on their time at SJRC and the pathways they have taken since finishing school.

Through a brief Q&A, graduates share how their experiences, subject choices, and opportunities have shaped their next steps.

Marcus Versoza reflects on how his time at SJRC strengthened his passion for sport and health and guided his transition to further study.

My time at SJRC provided me with the opportunity to:
My time at SJRC provided me with the opportunity to engage in a wide range of sporting experiences, which strengthened my passion for sport and health. These opportunities influenced my decision to pursue a Bachelor of Exercise and Sport Science at Deakin, with the long-term goal of completing a Master’s in Physiotherapy. Completing an unscored VCE with a scored English allowed me to access alternative pathways and opened doors to further study.

I chose this pathway because:
I chose this pathway because it allowed me to focus on my strengths and interests in sport while still keeping future academic and career opportunities open. This pathway supports my goal of building a strong foundation in exercise science before progressing into physiotherapy.
