Mr George Stoforidis is the Science and Technology Leader at St John’s, guiding innovative teaching and learning across these areas.

He supports staff in delivering engaging, future‑focused programs and fosters a culture of curiosity, critical thinking and problem‑solving. Through his leadership, students are encouraged to explore, experiment and develop the skills they need for a rapidly changing world.

What brought you to St John’s?

I was drawn to St John’s by its strong sense of community and commitment to student‑centered learning. The opportunity to make a real difference as an educator, support curious young minds, and collaborate with dedicated colleagues made joining the college an obvious and rewarding choice.

What keeps you here?

I stay because of the daily impact I can have on students’ learning and growth, and the unwavering support of wonderful staff. The college’s collaborative culture, professional development opportunities, and shared commitment to excellence continually inspire and motivate me to remain and contribute.

What makes this community meaningful to you?

This community is meaningful because students and staff genuinely care for one another. Seeing students thrive, knowing my teaching matters, and working alongside passionate colleagues creates a warm, purposeful environment where faith, learning and service come together. It’s a place where I feel valued and truly make a difference.
