STUDENT SPOTLIGHT

2 April, 2026

Year 9 student Aarushi has reached an impressive milestone with the publication of her debut book. The idea first took shape in Year 7, and through steady dedication she began writing in Year 8, developing her story over many months. Her determination to bring a concept from early inspiration to a fully published work is a testament to her creativity, focus and commitment.

Aarushi describes her book Between Two Worlds as a fantasy mystery novel that follows a young detective as she investigates a strange case that leads her into a hidden world of secrets. As she uncovers the truth, she must navigate unexpected challenges and discover who she really is. Along the way, she encounters ancient rivalries, mysterious figures, and clues that blur the line between myth and reality. With each new discovery, the stakes grow higher, pushing her to rely on her courage, determination, and quick thinking to uncover the truth before it’s too late.

Copies will hopefully arrive in the College library soon, making it a timely and exciting addition ahead of next term’s reading challenge, which centres on the theme of being a detective. Her work aligns beautifully with the spirit of inquiry and problem‑solving that the challenge encourages.

We are proud to celebrate this achievement and look forward to seeing her story inspire other young writers.
